What We Offer

BGC Stettler & District offers a variety of social recreational opportunities for youth 6 – 18 years old. Each program is based upon the core values of BGC Canada. We encourage families to choose programs based on interest rather than for the purpose of child care.     We are not a child care facility.

For all after school programs, transportation from all Stettler schools is available. There may be a fee for this service.

Where are we located?

BGC Stettler & District operates under the umbrella organization of Heartland Youth Center in Stettler, Alberta. We are located at 5002 - 47 Street.

How Do I Become a Member?

Yearly memberships can be purchased for $20/person or for $45/family of 3 or more children. Please email us at hyc.bgc@telus.net or come see us to fill out a membership form and discuss what programs you are interested in.  Some programs have additional fees.

Subsidies and/or alternative payment arrangements are available if you are unable to pay membership, transportation and/or program fees. No child will ever be turned away due to a lack of funding. Please contact us at 742-5437 for more information.

School Year Programs

School year programs for 2021-2022 can be found HERE

To REGISTER for school year programs, please complete a membership form and bring it to the Heartland Youth Center OR register online HERE

Staff will assist you to choose the best programs for your 6 - 18 year old.

HYC Day Camps

HYC Day Camps are available on many days when schools hold PD Days, and during Teacher's Conference and Spring Break. Occasionally we offer Day Camps for a portion of Christmas Break as well. Our current day camp schedule can be found HERE

To register for school year day camps, a current membership is required and you will need to register in person. The 2021-2022 school year day camp schedule will be shared here in early September.

Summer Day Camps:  We offer week long camps, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm, for 6 - 12 year olds for 7 weeks in July & August.  Our 2021 summer day camp schedule can be viewed HERE . Summer 2022 plans will be set at the end of May and posted here.
