Summer Programs

Summer Day Camps for 6 - 12 year olds

A wide variety of themes, crafts, activities and day trips are offered weekdays during July and August. Look for program brochures in Stettler and outlying schools in mid May for more information and for Summer Program Registration Day.

  • Camps are offered weekdays from 9am - 4pm for 6 weeks starting after the July long weekend. 
  • Families can register for week long camps based on their child's age.
  • Summer day camps are offered to current HYC members.
  • Subsidies are available. Please contact HYC's Program Director in person for more information.

Art Camp for 6 - 18 year olds

A week of half day art activities during the summer led by a local artist. Art projects vary and include different medias and skill levels. Camps are offered in the mornings for 6 - 9 year olds and in the afternoons for 10 - 18 year olds. Look for program brochures in Stettler and outlying schools in mid May for more information and for Summer Program Registration Day.

Teen Trips for 12 - 18 year olds

Weekly trips during July and August are offered for teen members. Teens may fundraise the fees for these trips (we provide the fundraisers); access subsidies; or pay the fees directly.

Teen Fundraisers for 12 - 18 year olds

Teens who would like to help out in their community, who would like to fundraise the fees of summer teen trips, or who would like to have a bit of pocket change can join our staff in a variety of fundraisers over the course of the summer.

  • Fundraisers vary from year to year and may include bottle drives, bake sales, yard work and other odd jobs.
  • Contact our staff directly if you are interested in teen fundraisers for the summer

Teen Volunteers Needed to Help with HYC's Summer Day Camps

13 - 18 year olds can volunteer in our HYC Summer Day Camps for 6 - 12 year olds.

  • Choose a schedule that works for you.
  • Volunteers can attend workshops to build leadership skills and will gain valuable references, volunteer experience and confidence for future jobs.
  • Look for more information in our Summer Program Brochure or contact our staff directly.
